Optos develops state-of-the-art-eye care technology for optometrists and ophthalmologists for the early detection and management of eye disease. The company's product, the Optomap® Retinal Exam, allows doctors to see a more complete view of the retina (back of the eye) which provides important information about a patient's eyes and their overall health. Further products are currently under development.

Optos' patented visual imagine is unique. Our business strategy is to make our Optomap technology available to the greatest number of practitioners, resulting in an overall improvement in eye care and early disease detection for millions of patients.

Optos North America, the wholly owned subsidiary of Optos plc, is headquartered in Dunfermline, MA and employs personnel in sales and marketing, customer support, field service and administration. Optos plc is located in Dunfermline, Scotland, and is the base for research and development. Optos plc currently employs technical, production and administration personnel.

Optos conducts business in the United States, Canada, the UK and Germany.
